RESOLUTION NO. 17895
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS,
CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING JANINE PAQUETTE
FOR HER OUTSTANDING SERVICES
TO THIS CITY AND THE COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, Janine Paquette, has been the City of Palm Springs Police Department's
Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) officer for the past eight years; and
WHEREAS, Janine Paquette has educated and graduated over 2,700 elementary
school youths in the dangers of drug abuse, incorporating alternatives and how to
"say no to drugs"; and
WHEREAS, Janine Paquette has performed her assignment in an exemplary manner,
meeting the educational needs of youth associated with drug abuse resistance,
establishing an excellent rapport with the youth of Palm Springs, and gaining the
respect of students, faculty and the community.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
SPRINGS THAT JANINE PAQUETTE is hereby commended for her untiring efforts to
educate the youth in drug abuse resistance.
ADOPTED this 1st day of July, 1992.
