HomeMy WebLinkAbout17818 - RESOLUTIONS - 4/1/1992 RESOLUTION NO. 17818 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF y PALM SPRINGS CALIFORNIA, VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF PASEO EL MIRADOR AND AVENIDA PALOS VERDES IN SECTION 11. 7--/ 1�213 /70 WHEREAS the City Council is authorized by the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code, to vacate and close to public use streets or parts of streets within the limits of the City and WHEREAS heretofore on March 18, 1992 the City Council did adopt Resolution No. 17810, a Resolution declaring its intention to vacate and close to the public use of that portion of Pasco El Mirador and Avenida Palos Verdes as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, streets within the City, County of Riverside, State of California and WHEREAS the City Council did post notice as required by the statute and did hold its public hearing as required by the statute and WHEREAS City Council has determined that existing public utilities located in that portion of Pasco El Mirador and Avenida Palos Verdes to be vacated, shall be relocated and new easements granted by the property owners to the public utility companies and WHEREAS the Planning Commission determined, by Resolution No. 4145 adopted July 10, 1991, that vacation of the said portion of Pasco El Mirador and Avenida Palos Verdes is consistent with the General Plan for the City of Palm Springs and c ' WHEREAS the City Council found from all evidence submitted that vacation of that portion of Pasco El Mirador and Avenida Palos Verdes described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes, and that it is in the public interest that the said public right-of-way be vacated. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council does hereby vacate all the City's right title and interest in that portion of Paseo El Mirador and Avenida Palos Verdes described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, streets within the City, County of Riverside, State of California which said Exhibit "A" is hereby referred to for the particulars on the purposed street vacation. Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to cause a certify copy of this resolution, attested to ' by the City Clerk under the seal of the City, be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Riverside County. The City Cleric is further directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the County Surveyor of Riverside County. ADOPTED this 1st day of April 1992.
