HomeMy WebLinkAbout17810 - RESOLUTIONS - 3/18/1992 RESOLUTION NO. 17810 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE ALL THE RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST OF SAID CITY IN ' A PORTION OF PASEO EL MIRADOR AND AVENIDA • PALOS VERDES IN SECTION 11. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, is authorized by the public streets, highways and services easements vacation law, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to vacate and close to public use streets, or parts of streets, within the limits of said City; and WHEREAS, the City Council intends to vacate and close to public use a portion of Pasco El Mirador and Avenida Palos Verdes, streets within the said City, County of Riverside, State of California. ' NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, as follows: Section 1. That the City Council does hereby signify and declare its intention to vacate the right-of-way for: 1) That portion of the street known as Pasco El Mirador between Indian Canyon Drive and Via Miraleste; 2) That portion of the street known as Avenida Palos Verdes between Paseo EI Mirador and Mel Avenue; 3) That portion of the street known as Avenida Palos Verdes between Mel Avenue and Camino Monte Vista, said right-of-way being more particularly described on Exhibit A, attached hereto as a part hereof. Section 2. That the Director of Public Works of said City is to hereby conspicuously post along the line of the part of the street to be vacated at not more than 300 foot ' intervals, but not less than three in all, on said street, notice of street vacation. Such notices shall state passage of the Resolution of Intention and the time and place of hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. Section 3. That the 1st day of April 1992, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. of said date, in the City Council Chambers at 3200 Tahquitz McCallum Way, Palm Springs, California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for said proposed street vacation, said time being not less than 15 days from the date of adoption of this resolution. Section 4. That the City Clerk be and hereby is directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in the manner prescribed by law for the publication of ordinances of this City.
