HomeMy WebLinkAbout17740 - RESOLUTIONS - 1/8/1992 RESOLUTION 17740 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM iPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF r PROCEEDINGS AND ACCOUNTING FOR THE PUBLIC NUISANCE ABATEMENT LOCATED AT LOT 49 , MB 036/016, DESERT PARK ESTATES #12 , ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 501-251-018, 2288 ROGERS ROAD, PALM SPRINGS WHEREAS The City has instituted abatement proceedings concerning refuse, waste, property maintenance, polluted pool located on the • property described as Lot 49, MB 036/016, Desert Parcel Estates, #12, Palm Springs, California; and WHEREAS said property is shown as Assessors Parcel. No. 501-251-018-5 on the County Assessor's Map Books as of 12/7/89 ; and WHEREAS the Building and Safety Director has reported that notices required in accordance with Chapter 11. 72 of the Palm Springs Municipal Code have been given and that the owner has refused to comply; and WHEREAS pursuant to said code, the City thereupon abated the public nuisance located on the property described above; and WHEREAS the City Council did receive and file the report of proceedings and accounting of the cost abatement on 12/4/91. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, as follows: Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves the report of Proceedings and Accounting of cost in the total r amount of $722 .47. Section 2 . That a special assessment lien in the amount of $722 .47 is hereby imposed upon the property hereinabove described. Section 3 . That a certified copy of this Resolution and the report shall be filed with the Riverside County Assessor. Section 4 , That the County Assessor is respectfully requested to enter the amount of the assessment on the County Tax Roll opposite the parcel of land referred to, and that thereafter said amount shall be collected at the same time, and in the same manner as ordinary municipal taxes. fr ADOPTED this _ Rth day of January , 1992. Work Completion: Wort: was satisfactorily completed on 2/5/90 . F. Billing: On 2/26/90,, the owner was billed to cover abatement costs, $722.47 . G.
