HomeMy WebLinkAbout17667 - RESOLUTIONS - 10/16/1991 RESOLUTION NO. 17667 J OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP 27172 CREATING TWO PARCELS AT 999 CROSSLEY ROAD, W-M-1 ZONE (IL) , SECTION 20. WHEREAS the City has received an application by Greg Show for a tentative parcel map creating two parcels at 999 Crossley Road (the Project) ; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission considered the Project at a duly noticed public hearing held on September 15, 1991; and ^ WHEREAS the Planning Commission recommended approval with conditions as outlined in its Resolution No. 4158; and WHEREAS the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on October 16, 1991 on said project;, and WHEREAS the City Council has reviewed all evidence provided at the hearing including the staff report dated October 115, 1991, and all other written and oral testimony, and find the Project, subject to the conditions contained herein consistent with the requirements of the ordinances of the City and with State law. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, after considering the evidence provided at the hearing does hereby approve the Tentative Parcel Map for property hereinabove described in accordance with the following findings and subject to the following conditions: SECTION 1 . The City Council finds: a. That the Tentative Parcel Map for two industrial parcels is consistent with existing General Plan land use plan and policies. b. That the project is consistent with the proposed draft General Plan text on file with the State of California Office of Planning and Research (OPR) and there is a reasonable probability that it will be consistent with the overall density and land use character of the General Plan which allows for industrial uses in this area. C. That there is little or no probability the project will be detrimental to or interfere with the future adopted General Plan, if the project is ultimately inconsistent with that plan. If a lower or higher intensity of development is adopted, the project would probably not be detrimental to the plan. d. That the 1. 97 acre site is adequate in size and configuration to accommodate the proposed two parcel subdivision and complies with all property development standards. e. That the proposed subdivision applied for under a tentative parcel map application at the location set forth in the application is properly authorized by local and State law. f. That the site is located on Mesquite Avenue/Crossley Res. No. 17667 i Page 2 Road/Indian Springs Road which are adequate in size to accommodate the quantity of traffic anticipated by the proposed subdivision. • g. That this application is categorically exempt under CEQA. A Negative Declaration was granted on the property under Tentative Tract Map 23764 . SECTION 2 . The project is approved subject to the following condition; which is to be satisfied prior to issuance of certificate of occupancy unless other wise specified: •. a. That all Development Committee conditions dated September 25, 1991, shall be met. ADOPTED this 16th day of October 1991.
