HomeMy WebLinkAbout17499 - RESOLUTIONS - 5/1/1991 RESOLUTION NO. 17499 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, TO AMEND THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FOR THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS BY INCORPORATING A LAND USE DESIGNATION CHART. WHEREAS the Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Palm Springs have held necessary hearings in accordance with State Planning Law for the adoption of an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan for the City; and WHEREAS the General Plan is a necessary and desirable guide for the orderly growth of the City in regard to land development, circulation, and as an aid in the solution of zoning problems; and WHEREAS State Planning Law requires that the Land Use Element of each General Plan contain "a statement of the standards of population density and building intensity recommended for the various districts" covered by the Plan; and r WHEREAS a Land Use Designation Chart is being proposed to serve as such "statement"; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission has held the required public hearings to consider testimony concerning the recommended text. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, does hereby amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan by incorporating the Land Use Designation Chart, being Exhibit A of this Resolution.
