OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE GRANTING OF
AN EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
COMPANY IN SECTION 13 „ T4S, R4E S.B.B. & M.
WHEREAS the City of Palm Springs is the owner of the premises
leased to the Palm Springs Senior Center located at 400 S. Sunrise
Way; and
WHEREAS the Senior Center has requested electrical service from
Southern California Edison Company; and
WHEREAS the Southern California Edison Company has requested the
City to grant an easement for the construction and maintenance of
electrical facilities to service the Senior Center, the location of
said easement being more particularly described in the Grant of
Easement document and shown on the plat attached hereto; and
WHEREAS granting the easement requested by the Edison Company will
not interfere with the existing improvements or any improvements
planned for the future and will be in the best interests of the
City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council- of the City of
Palm Springs, as follows:
Section 1. Granting an easement to Southern California Edison
for the installation of electrical facilities at
400 S. Sunrise Way at the location described in the
attached Grant of Easement and shown on the plat
attached is hereby approved.

Section 2 . The City Manager and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute the said Grant of Easement on
behalf of the City of Palm Springs.
Section 3 . The City Clerk is hereby authorized to record said
Grant of Easement in the office of the County
Recorder of Riverside County.

CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, a Municipal corporation, (hereinafter referred to as "Grantor"), hereby
grant to SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, a corporation, its successors and assigns (hereinafter
w referred to as "Grantee"), an easement and right of way to Construct, use, maintain, operate, alter, add
to, repair, replace, reconstruct, inspect and remove at any time and from time to time underground
electrical supply systems and communication systems (hereinafter referred to as "systems"), consisting
of wires, underground conduits, cables, vaults, manholes, handholes, and including above-ground
onclosures, markers and concrete pads and other appurtenant fixtures and equipment necessary or useful
for distributing electrical energy and for transmitting intelligence by electrical means, In, on, over,

The Grantor agrees for itself, its successors and assigns, not to erect, place or maintain, nor to b z

contractors, agents and employees, shall have the right to trim or cut tree roots as may endanger of ° <

times, for the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted; provided, however, that in making any C
