DESERT WATER AGENCY FACILITIES RELOCATION COST, FOR MID VALLEY
PARKWAY PHASE 3
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council ratify issuance of a Purchase Orderto Desert Water Agency
(DWA), in the amount of $34,500 for the cost of relocating water facilities for Mid
Valley Parkway Phase 3, City Project No. 99-13.
BACKGROUND:
As part of the Mid Valley Parkway Phase 3 project awarded by Council on August
2, 2000, to Granite Construction Co., the Desert Water Agency (DWA) must
relocate a number of their facilities, such as theirvalves, services and fire hydrants.
A written estimate has been received from DWA in the amount of $34,500.00 for
this work. A purchase order has been issued which DWA will bill against. This will
avoid delays to the construction contract.
Staff requests that Council ratify issuance of a Purchase Order to DWA for the
relocation of these facilities. Cost is 50% reimbursable through Regional Measure
A funds administered through the Coachella Valley Association of Governments
(CVAG).
Sufficient funds are available in account no. 134-4498-50133(Mid Valley Parkway
Ph.2 (Ramon/G.Autry)).

I HEREBY CERTIFY that this Minute Order ratifying issuance of a.Purchase Order to Desert
Water Agency (DWA), in the amount of $34,500.00 for the cost of relocating water facilities for
Mid Valley Parkway Phase 3, City Project 99-13, was approved by the City Council of the City of
Palm Springs, California, in a meeting thereof held on the 6`" day of September, 2000.
