OF THE CITY COUNTIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS
FOR STREET LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NOS. 6-A, 6-B
AND 6-C FOR FISCAL YEAR 1990191, AND FIXING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR HEARING THEREON.,
The City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, does hereby resolve
as follows:
Section 1. Declaration of Intent - The City Council does hereby declare
its intent to levy and collect assessments within Parkway
Maintenance District Nos. 6-A, 6-B and 6-C for the fiscal year
1990/91.
Section 2. Description of Work - The public interest, convenience and a
necessity require, and it is the intention of 'the City Council
to order the following work to be done, to wit:
A. Plant, replace, trim, water and generally maintain the trees
and shrubs within Parkway Maintenance District Nos. 6-A, 6-B
and 6-C.
B. Repair, replace and maintain these systems necessary for the
growth of the vegetation with the Districts.
Section 3. Description of Assessment District - The City Council hereby
makes the expenses of said maintenance chargeable upon the
Districts hereby declared to be the areas benefited by said
maintenance and to be assessed to pay the tests and expenses
thereof, said assessments to be collected as a part of the property
tax assessment by the County Tax Collector' s Office.
Section 4. Engineer's Report - All of the said work to be done shall be
as shown on the Boundary Maps of the Districts, on file in the
office of the City Engineer, and in accordance with the Engineer' s
Report on file in the office of the City Clerk. The City Council
hereby approves the Engineer's Report and reference is hereby
made to same for a more particular description of said work;
and the same is incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
Section 5. Time and Place of Hearing - Notice is hereby given that on July
11, 1990, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber,
3200 Tahquitz-McCallum Way, Palm Springs, California. Any and
all persons having any objection to the proposed assessment,
the extent of the assessment districts, may appear and show cause
why said assessment should not be carried out in accordance with
this Resolution. Protests must be in writing and delivered to
the City Clerk prior to the time set for the hearing.
Section 6. Improvement Act - all of the work herein proposed shall be
accomplished pursuant to the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972" , being Division 15, Part 2 of the California Streets &
Highways Code.

Section 7. Publication of Proceeding - The "Desert Sun" a daily newspaper,
printed and circulated in the City of Palm Spr'nnS, is hereby
designated as the newspaper in which this Resolution and all
other publications in the proceedings under this resolution shall
be published by the City Clerk.
Section 8. Designation of the Person to Receive Inquiries - The following
person is designated as the official to receive any inquiries
concerning such improvements:
