HomeMy WebLinkAbout17112 - RESOLUTIONS - 5/2/1990 RESOLUTION NO. 17112 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE OF PROPOSITION 108 ON THE JUNE 5 BALLOT. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Palm Springs is concerned about the funding of transportation needs, not only in Palm Springs but the State of California as a whole;, and WHEREAS Proposition 108 will provide $3 billion for intercity rail , commuter rail and urban rail transit if approved by the voters ; and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Palm Springs has determined that Proposition 108, when combined with Proposition 111 , will provide sources of greatly needed new revenues for transportation needs•, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs that this resolution expressing support for the passage of Proposition 108 is hereby approved.
