CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 22, 1987
An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Palm Springs, California, was called to order by Mayor Bogert,
in the Council Chamber, 3200 Tahquitz-McCallum Way, on Wednesday,
September 22, 1987, at 3 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Apfelbaum, Birer, Foster,
Smith and Mayor Bogert
Absent: None
REPORT OF POSTING OF AGENDA:
Report of City Clerk: Agenda posted in accordance with
Council policy on September 18, 1987
PUBLIC COMMENTS - None
LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
1. AIRPORT - AIP-03 & AIP-04
Recommendation: That the Council approve Amendment No.
1 to FAA Grant Agreement for AIP-03 (land acquisition)
to increase the obligation from $3,232,401 to $3,953,562.36;
and Amendment No. 2 to Grant Agreement AIP-04, for an (51)
increase from $4,825,233 to $5,199,718.90.
Director of Transportation stated that both grant overruns
were approved by FAA, recognizing that future grant amend-
ments would be forthcoming. _
Resolutions 16304 and 16305 approving amendments, as recom-
mended, were presented; after which, it was moved by Birer,
seconded by Apfelbaum, and unanimously carried, that Resolu-
tions 16304 and 16305 be adopted.
2. AIRPORT TERMINAL - WALKWAY REROOFING
Recommendation: That the Council award contract to J.N.
Davis Construction Co. , Inc. , to reroof the walkways at
the Airport Terminal , for $36,532 - CP 87-10, Agr #2480.
Director of Transportation stated that the project includes (51)
walkways on both the east and west sides of the Terminal ,
not over the concourse walkways.
Minute Order 4028 awarding contract, as recommended, was
presented; after which, it was moved by Smith, seconded
by Foster, and unanimously carried, that Minute Order
4028 be adopted.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor declared the meeting -
adjourned to Wednesday, September 30, 1987 at 2 p.m. ,
in the Council Chamber.
