HomeMy WebLinkAbout1671 - ORDINANCES - 10/5/2005ORDINANCE NO. 1671 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 12.56.042 OF THE PALM SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE (PSMC), ADDING TEN STREETS TO THE LIST OF STREETS WHERE COMMERCIAL VEHICLES EXCEEDING CERTAIN DESIGNATED WEIGHTS ARE PROHIBITED. City Attorney's Summary The City of Palm Springs prohibits commercial vehicles from using certain specified streets. This ordinance adds ten streets to the list of streets where such commercial vehicles are prohibited. The City Council of the City of Palm Springs, Ordains: SECTION 1. Section 12.56.042 of the Palm Springs Municipal Code be amended by adding the following table. The following streets are designated as streets where use is prohibited as to commercial vehicles. The following table applies to vehicles in excess of eight (8) tons gross vehicle weight: Name of Street Sunny Dunes Road Calle Palo Fierro Indian Trail Vista Oro Camino Real _Warm Sands Court Warm Sands Drive _Grenfall Road Thornhill Road Calle Amigos Portion Affected Sunrise Way to Calle Palo Fierro Sunny Dunes Road to Ramon Road Sunny Dunes Road to Ramon Road Sunny Dunes Road to Ramon Road Sunny Dunes Road to Ramon Road Sunny Dunes Road to Warm Sands Drive Sunny Dunes Road to Ramon Road Sunny Dunes Road to Ramon Road Sunny Dunes Road to Ramon Road Sunny Dunes Road to Ramon Road SI=CTION 2. The City Clerk is authorized to add the above streets in sequential order following the streets previously designated by the Council and included in Section 12.56.042 of the Palm Springs Municipal Code. SECTION 3. The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same, or the summary thereof, to be published and posted pursuant to the provisions of law and this Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after passage.
