CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
JULY 9, 1985
An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order
by Mayor Bogert, in the Large Conference Room, City Hall , 3200
Tahquitz-McCallum Way, on Tuesday, July 9, 1985, at 3 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Birer, Foster, Maryanov and
Mayor Bogert
Absent: None
LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
1 . CVB BUDGET
Assistant City Manager presented proposed budget amendment
resolution to appropriate $251 ,614 to restore the CVB budget
level to $1 ,751 ,614, contingent upon conditions noted by the
Council on July 3.
Discussion ensued relative to evidence of action by the CVB
Board that it has acted on the conditions of the Council before
the funds are actually appropriated. It was the consensus of (61 )
the Council that in its motion to restore the CVB budget for
1985-86 to the $1 ,751 ,614 allocation, the City staff shall not
present a resolution to record the budget amendment until the
CVB has taken action satisfactory to the City Council that it
has acted on, or performed, the conditions expressed by the
Council in its motion adopted July 3, 1985.
2. SEWER MAIN - ARENEAS ROAD & TAHQUITZ WAY
Recommendation: That the Council award contract to Massey Sand
& Rock Co. , for construction of a sanitary sewer main on Arenas
Road, between Palm Canyon and Indian, and 'lahquitz Way, west
from Belardo including portion of Museum Way, in amount of
$55,096.25, CP 85-04, Agr #2223. (128
Minute Order 3617, awarding contract as recommended, was
presented; after which, it was moved by Foster, seconded by
Birer, and unanimously carried, Smith absent, that Minute Order
3617 be adopted.
3. MAYOR PRO TEM
Due to anticipated absence of Mayor and Mayor pro tem July 16-30,
1985; Councilman Birer was nominated and duly elected to serve
as Mayor pro tem during said time. (70)
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor declared the meeting
adjourned.
