HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/30/1984 - MINUTES CITY OF PALM SPRINGS CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 30, 1984 An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Bogert, in the Large Conference Room, City Hall , on Tuesday, October 30, 1984, at 3 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Birer, Foster, Maryanov, Smith and Mayor Bogert Absent: None PUBLIC HEARING: 1 . STREET VACATIONS - ANDREAS ROAD & CALLE ALVARADO Recommendation: That the Council vacate portions of Andreas Road and Calle Alvarado in connection with the Convention Center project. Economic Development & Housing Specialist stated that this matter was originally scheduled for October 17, 1984, but in order to correct notice posting deficiency, the hearing was continued to this date. Mayor declared the hearing open; there being no appearances, the hearing was closed. Resolution 15302 , ordering the vacations as recommended, was presented; after which, it was moved by Birer, seconded by Foster, and unanimously carried, Maryanov and Smith abstaining, that Resolution 15302 be adopted. LEGISLATIVE ACTION: 2. TRACT 20485 - TENTATIVE MAP Resolution 15303A approving TTM 20485 to combine existing parcels and subdivide for condominium financing purposes for the Convention Center and headquarters hotel project, was presented. Economic Development & Housing Specialist stated that lot line is a division between the hotel and the Convention Center and the map is for sub-lessees, and if the Convention Center does not proceed, the individual parcel lines would be in existence and not obliterated. Resolution 15303A, approving the Tentative Map, was presented; after which, it was moved by Birer, seconded by Foster, and unanimously carried, Maryanov and Smith abstaining, that Resolution 15303A be adopted. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Mayor declared the meeting further adjourned to Monday, November 5, 1984, at 9 a.m. , in the Small Conference Room, City Hall . JUDIT SUMICH City Clerk
