HomeMy WebLinkAbout3/14/1984 - MINUTES CITY OF PALM SPRINGS CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 14, 1984 An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Bogert, in the Large Conference Room, City Hall , 3200 Tahquitz-McCallum Way, on Wednesday, March 14, 1984, at 6 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Foster, Maryanov, Smith & Mayor Bogert Absent: None LEGISLATIVE ACTION: 1 . DANCE PERMIT On March 13, 1984, Council requested additional information and directed this matter to be brought to it at this time. Consideration of request to use the upper level of the Bank of Palm Springs building for a Jr. Statesman of America fundraising dance. Memorandum of Director of Community Development was distrib- uted. In answer to questions by Council , Lynn Pettit stated that there will be about 75 cars; no parking on the upper level , but around the uncovered portions outside and io the east, which will not interfere with valet parking at the Center; and there will be two guards at the top of the ramp to preclude any ingress by vehicles. It was moved by Bogert, seconded by Maryanov, and unanimously carried, that the use be approved, subject to understanding that there will be no parking on the upper level . 2. CRA CONCURRENCE Resolution 14972, concurring in CRA Resolutions 208 and 209, and Res. 207 adopted March 7, 1984, was presented; after which, it was moved by Foster, seconded by Maryanov, and unanimously carried, that Resolution 14972 be adopted. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business at 6:40 p.m. , Mayor declared the meeting adjourned. JUDIT SUMICH City Clerk
