HomeMy WebLinkAbout1407 - ORDINANCES - 3/18/1992 ORDINANCE NO. 1407 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 5. 60 OF THE PALM SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALES TO ESTABLISH ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS OF ONE YEAR FOR PERMIT ISSUANCE. The City Council of the City of Palm Springs,. California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Chapter 5. 60 of the Palm Springs Municipal Code is hereby amended by changing the title to read "Business Closing Sales" and amending Section 5. 60. 020 to read as follows: 5.60. 020 Eligibility for Permit. No person, firm or corporation shall be eligible to publish or conduct any sale as described in Section 5. 60. 010, without first: having obtained a permit from the City Manager in the manner hereinafter provided in this chapter, but such person shall not be eligible for a permit for a period of at least 365 consecutive calendar days from the opening of the business unless good cause is shown therefore to the City Manager. SECTION 2 . EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after passage. SECTION 3 . PUBLICATION_, The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to certify to the passage of this ordinance, and to cause the same or a summary thereof, or a display advertisement duly prepared according to law to be published in accordance with law.
