COUNCIL RULES OF PROCEDURE AMENDMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
Consideration of amendment to the Council Rules of Procedure to alter the
sequence of the Consent Agenda to follow Public Comments.
BACKGROUND:
The Council has requested reorganization of the Council agenda to enable the
Consent Agenda to follow Public Cormnents.
If desired,the order of the agenda would appear, as follows:
Call to Order: Roll Call,Flag Salute and Invocation
Presentations
Report of Posting Agenda
Closed Session Report
Community Redevelopment Agency, Housing Authority,
or other related agency(if any business)
Public Comments
Approval of Consent Agenda
Public Hearings
Council Comments/Announcements/Interagency Reports
Legislative Action
Added Starters(See Section 2.1.1)
Reports and Requests (See Section 2.8)
Departmental (monthly, annual)

Adjournment

OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 19067, CONCERN-
ING THE COUNCIL RULES OF PROCEDURE.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS,
CALIFORNIA, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 2.1 of the Council Rules of Procedure, adopted by
Resolution 19067,is hereby amended to read, as follows:
2.1 AGENDA:
The Order of Business of each meeting shall be as contained in the Agenda
prepared by the City Clerk. The Agenda shall be a listing containing a brief
general description of each item of business to be transacted or discussed at
the meeting in the following order:
Call to Order: Roll Call, Flag Salute and Invocation
Presentations
Report of Posting Agenda
Closed Session Report
Community Redevelopment Agency,Housing Authority,
or other related agency(if any business)
Public Comments
Approval of Consent Agenda
Public Hearings
Council Comments/Armouncements/Interagency Reports
Legislative Action
