HomeMy WebLinkAbout5927 - MINUTE ORDERS - 4/2/1997 MINUTE ORDER NO. 5927 AUTHORIZING A MASTER LEASE WITH PALM CANYON THEATRE FOR 10,755 SQUARE FEET OF BUILDING FLOOR AREA AT 538 NORTH PALM CANYON DRIVE; INCLUDING AREAS TO BE SUBLEASED AND/OR SHARED WITH OTHER NON- PROFIT ART GROUP(S) ON A MONTH-TO- MONTH BASIS OVER THE NEXT 24 MONTHS TO ALLOW FOR ADEQUATE SITE MASTER PLANNING AND EXPANSION OF FACILITIES, AS IDENTIFIED IN EXHIBIT "B" OF THE LEASE, FOR A FIVE-YEAR PERIOD AND A FIVE-YEAR EXTENSION OPTION AND AT THE INITIAL MONTHLY LEASE RATE OF $ 1 ,250 PLUS CONSTRUCTION OBLIGATIONS AND OTHER CONSIDERATIONS AS STIPULATED IN THE LEASE, IN A FORM APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY. I HEREBY CERTIFY that this Minute Order, authorizing a Master Lease with Palm Canyon Theatre for 10,755 square feet of building floor area at 538 North Palm Canyon Drive; including areas to be subleased and/or shared with other non-profit art group(s) on a month-to-month basis over the next 24 months to allow for adequate site master planning and expansion of facilities, as identified in Exhibit "B" of the lease, for a five- year period and a five-year extension option and at the initial monthly lease rate of $1,250 plus construction obligations and other considerations as stipulated in the lease, in a form approved by the City Attorney, was adopted by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California in a meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of April, 1997.
