TO FIVE (5) POTENTIAL PARTNERS IN
THE CONTINUING PROCESS TO IDENTIFY
THE BEST FIRM(S) TO PROVIDE
REASONABLY PRICED ELECTRICITY AND
RELATED SERVICES FOR THE PALM
SPRINGS RESIDENTIAL AND BUSINESS
COMMUNITY;AUTHORIZE VISITS TO THE
COMPANY HEADQUARTERS OF THE FIVE
(5) FIRMS TO VERIFY THE AVAILABLE
RESOURCES AND TO EVALUATE THE
CORPORATE COMMITMENT TO THE
CITY'S MUNICIPALIZATION EFFORTS,
INCLUDING COMFORT LEVEL FOR
TEAMING WITH THE CITY'S EXISTING
PARTNER FOR SUPPLY OF RENEWABLE
ENERGY, CALIFORNIA ENERGY.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that this Minute Order, approving narrowing, the candidate list
from fourteen (14) to five (5) potential partners in the continuing process to identify the
best firm(s) to provide reasonably priced electricity and related services for the Palm
Springs residential and business community; authorize visits to the company headquarters
of the five (5) firms to verify the available resources and to evaluate the corporate
commitment to the City's municipalization efforts, including comfort. level for teaming
with the City's existing partner for supply of renewable energy, California Energy, was
adopted by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, in a meeting thereof
held on the 21st day of February, 1996.
