AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CONTRACT SERVICES AGREEMENT NO. 3887
WITH COUNTS UNLIMITED FOR CITY-WIDE TRAFFIC VOLUME COUNTS
RECOMMENDATION-
That the City Council approve Amendment No. 1 to the Contract Services
Agreement No. 3887 with Counts Unlimited for city-wide traffic volume
counting, in an amount not to exceed $1,787.00 for a new total not-to-exceed
$10,787.00, City project No. 97-17.
BACKGROUND:
Updating key traffic volume counts are needed on an annual basis for a variety
of reasons: (1) accident rate investigation, (2) reporting data required for
various grant application, (3)providing data requested by the public, usually for
potential commercial development, and (4)required data requisitions for the
National Highway Pavement Management System.
On December 17, 1997, City Council approved a Contract Services Agreement
with Counts Unlimited to provide traffic counts at 75 specific locations. The
Agreement also provided a unit price for additional traffic counts as may be
specifically requested by the City. This Agreement has a 2-year term, which
expires on December 17, 1999. All specific location counts have been
completed. This Amendment wil provide for additional counts as may be
requested up until the Agreement's expiration date.
Funds to cover this work are available in account number 261-4491-50103,
Traffic Volume Counting.
