AGREEMENTS FOR SUNRISE PLAZA PLAY EQUIPMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council rescind Minute Order 6290 dated December 16, 1998,which approved
the Contract Services Agreement and the Donation of Funds Assignment Agreement
between Variety Children's Charities of the Desert and Miracle Recreation Equipment
Company and the City of Palm Springs.
BACKGROUND:
On December 16, 1998,City Council approved the Contract Services Agreement and the
Donation of Funds Assignment Agreement between Variety Children's Charities of the
Desert(VCCD)and Miracle Recreation Equipment Company and the City of Palm Springs,
which allowed VCCD to donate a new play structure to the City for Sunrise Plaza.
Subsequent to City Council's approval of these agreements, VCCD donated the funds
directly to the City for the purchase of the play structure; therefore, the aforementioned
agreements were not required or executed, and staff is requesting that City Council
rescind Minute Order 6290, which approved those agreements.

WHICH APPROVED THE CONTRACT SERVICES AGREEMENT AND
THE DONATION OF FUNDS ASSIGNMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN
VARIETY CHILDREN'S CHARITIES OF THE DESERT AND MIRACLE
RECREATION EQUIPMENT COMPANY AND THE CITY OF PALM
SPRINGS.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that this Minute Order, rescinding Minute Order 6290 dated December 16,
1998, which approved the Contract Services Agreement and the Donation of Funds Assignment
Agreement between Variety Children's Charities of the Desert and Mirage Recreation Equipment
Company and the City of Palm Springs.
