CHANGE ORDER FOR THE TAXI HOLDING FACILITY PROJECT NO. 9"7
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve Change Order No. 1 with James E. Simon Co.,for
site certification of the taxi holding facility at the Palm Springs International Airport
for an amount not-to-exceed $17,150.
BACKGROUND:
The taxi/bus holding building project was divided into two parts;the vehicle staging
and taxi paddng lot(including rough grading), and the actual building construction. I
The separation of the two projects occurred because sufficient funding was not
available for the entire project upon inception of the initial design. In separating
these two projects,the full over excavation and site certification of the building pad
was omitted from the scope of work. ' Change Order No.1 must now be
incorporated into the building contract in order to proceed with the project.
Funds are available in account no. 415-6400-56020; no general fund monies are
necessary for this project.

1 HEREBY CERTIFY that this Minute Order, approving Change Order No. 1 with
James E. Simon Co., for site certification of the taxi holding facility at the Patin Springs
International Airport in an amount not to exceed $17,150, was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Patin Springs, Califonda, in a meeting thereof held on the 15th
day of September, 1999.
