CHANGE ORDER #1 - PHASE IIA APRON CONCRETE, E.L. YEAGER
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council approve Change Order#1 to E.L. Yeager agreement
#4103 (Phase IIA apron concrete fill-in) in a reduced amount of$11,008.00,
BACKGROUND:
Airport Improvement Project (AIP) #26 consists of replacing the apron concrete which
surrounds Phase IIA of the terminal expansion. Due to difficulties in meeting the specified mix
design, the Airport Engineer has approved a modification to the specifications which reduces
the total contract amount of$1,422,945 by$11,008.00,for a new revised total contract amount
of $1,411,937.00. In addition, the contractor is relinquishing his option to obtain a potential
premium up to 6% of the original contract amount, or $30,621.00.
The Airport Engineer has reviewed the proposed Change Order and has recommend
approval.The Change Orderwill require approval bythe Federal Aviation Administration(FAA)
if City Council approval is granted.
There are no other changes to the agreement.
A Minute Order is attached for City Council consideration.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that this Minute Order, approving Change Order #1 to
Agreement #4103 with E. L. Yeager, subject to Federal Aviation Administration
approval, for a reduction of $11,008, revised total contract $1,411,937, for the Phase
11A apron concrete fill-in, was adopted by the City Council of the City of Palm
Springs, California, in a meeting thereof held on the 28th day of July, 1999.
