HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution _4842RESOLUTION 4842 RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING APPROVAL OF THE ALTERATION OF A NONCONFORMING SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE LOCATED AT 466 PATENCIO ROAD TO CONVERT 358 SQUARE FEET TO LIVING SPACE OF AN EXISTING 1,088 SQUARE FEET CARPORT LOCATED IN SIDE AND REAR YARD SETBACKS. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received a minor architectural approval application requesting that the Planning Commission make the determination that an existing nonconforming structure may be altered; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determines that the said structure is located on a nonconforming irregular lot in the R-1-A single family residential zone; and WHEREAS, the residence was legally constructed in 1952; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determines that the said alteration is consistent with the existing development in the neighborhood; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public meeting on April 23, 2003 and considered all evidence, including but not limited to, staff report, oral and written information. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Springs, determines thatthe alteration of an existing nonconforming single family residence located at 466 S. Patencio Road, to convert 358 square feet into living space from an existing 1,088 square foot carport that is located in side and rear setback areas is approved. ADOPTED this 23' day of April, 2003.
