HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution _4776- Case 10.434RESOLUTION NO. 4776 RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, CASE NO. 10.434, DETERMINING THAT THE DESIGNATION OF A CLASS 2 AND 3 BIKEWAY ON SUNNY DUNES BETWEEN SUNRISE WAY AND PALM CANYON DRIVE IS NOT IN CONFLICT WITH THE GENERAL PLAN. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received a request for the designation of a Class 2 and 3 bikeway on the north side of Sunny Dunes between Sunrise Way and Palm Canyon Drive; and WHEREAS, the designation of the subject bikeway will not negatively affect any developed or undeveloped properties; and WHEREAS, the subject bikeway is necessary to aid bicycle movement and assist in traffic calming; and WHEREAS, the resulting bikeway is consistent with the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Springs has considered the subject bikeway at its regular meeting of March 27, 2002, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has carefully reviewed and considered all of the evidence presented in connection with the request, including but not limited to the staff report and all written and oral testimony presented. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, based upon the foregoing, the Planning Commission hereby determines that the vacation of the said right-of-way is not in conflict with the City's General Plan. ADOPTED this 27th day of March, 2002.
