Dear Mayor deHarte, Councilmembers, and City Staff,
I’m writing to voice my strong support for the renewal of PS Resorts' contract with the City of
Palm Springs.
As the founder of Splash House, I’ve worked with PS Resorts for over a decade. Their mission
to drive tourism through events, especially during the summer, was one of the reasons why my
family and I decided to pursue Splash House in the first place in 2013. Their early support
helped us grow through years when the event was still finding its footing, and their continued
backing has played a major role in our ability to scale.
Today, Splash House draws more than 10,000 attendees per weekend and generates tens of
millions in economic impact for local hotels, restaurants, and small businesses. Just as
importantly, the event supports hundreds of local jobs at a time when tourism and hospitality
work is slow. Beyond that, PS Resorts’ support has also helped us launch Desert Air at the
Palm Springs Air Museum and pursue unique projects like an upcoming filmed music
experience on the Palm Springs Aerial Tram that will spotlight the city and the tram to a
global audience.
These are high-investment, high-risk endeavors that wouldn’t be possible without PS Resorts’
early-stage support. More than funding, they represent a city-backed commitment to
innovation and cultural programming, which is why partners like Goldenvoice and I continue
to invest here. Palm Springs has benefited greatly from PS Resorts’ work—not just in tourism
dollars, but in building the city’s modern identity as a destination for creative, experience-
driven travelers. Their value is proven, and their continued work is vital.
I respectfully urge you to support the contract extension and ensure PS Resorts can continue
delivering for Palm Springs.
Sincerely,
Tyler McLean

Dear Mayor and Members of the City Council,
On behalf of the Palm Springs International Film Society, I am writing to
express our strong support for PS Resorts and to highlight the significant
impact their partnership has had on both our organization and the greater
Palm Springs community.
As a key supporter of the Palm Springs International Film Festival, PS
Resorts has played an instrumental role in helping us present one of the
most high-profile cultural events in the country. Their investment directly
contributes to the Festival’s ability to bring world-class cinema to our city,
attract global media attention, and generate tremendous economic activity
for local businesses, hotels, and restaurants.
Beyond their support of the Film Festival, PS Resorts continues to be a
driving force behind the promotion of Palm Springs as a premier
destination. Their collaborative spirit and commitment to community-
focused tourism initiatives are essential to sustaining year-round economic
vitality and reinforcing Palm Springs’ unique identity as an international
destination.
We are incredibly grateful for their longstanding support and advocacy. The
partnership between PS Resorts and the Film Society exemplifies what is
possible when local stakeholders come together to uplift arts, culture, and
the broader economic well-being of the Coachella Valley.
We respectfully urge the City of Palm Springs to continue supporting PS
Resorts and recognizing their invaluable role in shaping the cultural and
economic landscape of our city.
Sincerely,
Christina Sasse

Hi there,
I wanted to reach out and express my support for Item 3B/Amendment 6 – Destination
Palm Springs/PS Resorts on your agenda July 9.
The wonderful events that are now part of the historic annual calendar of Palm Springs
can be traced back to early support from PS Resorts. Some of these include:
·Splash House.
·Desert X.
·Modernism Week.
·PS Pride.
·Tour de Palm Springs.
It certainly is my hope that with your support, they can continue to not only create and
support events like the ones above, but more importantly provide the strategic
leadership needed to keep our community at the top of the tourism industry.
Thank you!
