Additionally, members of the public may address the Commission on each item listed on the posted Agenda at the time each item is heard. Testimony for Public Hearings will only be taken at the time of the hearing. Any person who wishes to speak at a Public Hearing may do so when the Public Hearing is called. Although the Public Arts Commission values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda. Five (5) minutes assigned for each speaker. APPROVAL OF MINUTES RECOMMENDATION: September 12, 2019 A. PRESENTATIONS: 1. Proposed loan of two sculptures by artist JC Howe (Oculus and Brutal) for display on East Tahquitz Canyon Way median concrete pads. B. REPORT FROM THE CHAIR C. PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. Adopt Resolution No. , "A RESOLUTION OF THE PUBLIC ARTS COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN ART MURAL ON A PORTION OF AN EXISTING EAST FACING WALL ADJACENT A PARKING AREA LOCATED AT 1339 NORTH INDIAN CANYON DRIVE (CASE 19-002 MUR)." Consider borrowing a sculpture entitled "History of Suspended Time" by Gonzalo Lebrija, installing the sculpture on the "Art Park" (1-12) site, approve up to $24,050 for site preparation and maintenance for the sculpture, to be arranged by the Palm Springs Art Museum. E. DISCUSSION 1 REPORTS 1. Mural by Palm Springs Public Arts Commission on the north elevation of the existing building at 188 South Indian Canyon Drive by Gabby B Vaquez entitled "Visiting Mirage" in an amount not to exceed $6,500 2. REPORTS OF DIRECTOR/STAFF ADJOURNMENT: The Public Arts Commission will adjourn to a Regular Meeting, at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday November 14, 2019, at Palm Springs City Hall, Large Conference Room, 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262. It is the intention of the City of Palm Springs to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in all respects.
