This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the Public Arts Commission on items of
general interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Public Arts Commission, and agenda items if the
member of the public cannot be present later in the meeting at the time the item is heard by the Commission,
Additionally, members of the public may address the Commission on each item listed on the posted Agenda at
the time each item is heard. Although the Public Arts Commission values your comments, pursuant to the
Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda. Five (5) minutes
assigned for each speaker.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES RECOMMENDATION:
A. PRESENTATIONS:
1. Mike Constanza, Cinerebel Media: Using VR (Virtual Reality) in Public Art.
2. Upcoming Mural Application by Tracy Turco at 1339 North Indian Canyon Drive
entitled "One Love — Flowers + Love Everlasting Love and Beauty by Damon
Johnson
B. REPORT FROM THE CHAIR
C. ACTION ITEMS:
1. Approval of funding to purchase the following artwork from the 30x30 Exhibit
Commissioners' Choice awards for a total amount not to exceed $24,000:
a. Mural by Anne Faith Nicholls entitled "Transplant" in an amount not to exceed
$7,500

b. Mural by Gabby 8 Vaquez entitled "Visiting Mirage" in an amount not to exceed
$6,500
c. Temporary installation by John Morse entitled "Clothesline as Color Spectrum"
in an amount not to exceed $3,500
d. Temporary installation by Jev Pic entitled "The Fault Line" in an amount not to
exceed $3,500
3. Acquire Artwork "Crushing Inertia" by Linda Maxon and Debi Grupe at Palm Springs
Airport in an amount not to exceed $12,100 on Loan for Public Installations
4. Extend contract for Artistic Services with Sarah Scheideman in an amount not to
exceed $24,000, for the period of October 1, 2019, through June 30, 2010
5. Extend contract for Social Media services with Madalina Garza in an amount not to
exceed $8,000, for the period of October 1, 2019, through June 30, 2010

ADJOURNMENT: The Public Arts Commission will adjourn to a Special Meeting, at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday
September 26, 2019, at Palm Springs City Hall, Development Services Conference Room, 3200 E. Tahquitz
Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262.
