Dear Board of Administrative Appeal,
As a resident of Palm Springs, I would like to note regarding the Sub Committee's recommendation to extend the
maximum rental agreement to 36 contracts for properties with no violations is not purpose of this committee.
The purpose of this committee is to determine if ordinance violations have occurred. The recommendations should
only involve how to improve, prevent, or rectify compliance.
Arbitrarily extending and increasing contract limits without consulting residents and communities is an over reach
and does not involve ordinance compliance. My neighbors and I, who live in streets surrounded by STRS, were
relieved that the maximum was lowered to 26 because our neighborhoods have turned into weekend theme parks.
The recommendation should exclude policies that do not involve ordinance compliance. You have not consulted
residents and its effects on the neighborhood and the community. These recommendation appear self interested,
especially if a board member owns an STR or is involved in a property management company. It's a major conflict
of interest.
