Although the Public Arts Commission values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda Five (5) minutes assigned for each speaker. A. DISCUSSION ITEMS: 1. 30th Anniversary celebration events on October 11 and 14 Commissioner Merrigan 2. Temporary art installations downtown (Virgin Hotel site, `Aluminaire' site, other murals) Commissioner Pritchard 3. Status of plans for art for the Downtown Park Commissioner Gladstone 4. Other plans for 2018-19, including social media, community -based projects, etc. Commissioners Murray and Brenner B. ACTION ITEMS 1. Approve $2,450 purchase order for David Dixon for postcard design and layout, updating Public Arts Commission logo, and event tee shirt design. Commissioner Merrigan 2. Approve $925 purchase order for Art Patron Magazine for full page advertisement of 30t' Anniversary Celebration Commissioner Merrigan 4. Request the City install gravel at the `Aluminalre' site to prepare it for various art installations being planned Commissioner Pritchard 5. Approve agreement for Scene Creative, LLC for festival art event activities, interactive felt art map, and public art event management in a form acceptable to the City Attorney and in an amount not to exceed $24,000. ADJOURNMENT: The Public Arts Commission will adjourn to a Regular Meeting, Thursday, September 13, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, Large Conference Room, 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, California. It is the intention of the City of Palm Springs to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in all respects.
