Additionally, members of the public may address the Commission on each item listed on the posted Agenda at the time each item is heard. Although the Public Arts Commission values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda. Five (5) minutes assigned for each speaker. APPROVAL OF MINUTES RECOMMENDATION: Approve Public Arts Commission Minutes for the February 8, 2018 Regular Meeting Approve Public Arts Commission Minutes for the February 22, 2018 Study Session A. PRESENTATIONS: 1. None B. NEW BUSINESS: 2. Create Ad-Hoc Subcommittees and Assignment of Members Discuss creating two ad-hoc subcommittees: 1) Downtown Revitalization Project Temporary Public Art Installations and 2) Public Arts Commission 30th Celebration Events RECOMMENDATION: Direct Staff as Appropriate 3. Public Arts Commission 30th Anniversary Celebration Events Discuss upcoming scheduled events and activities. RECOMMENDATION: Report by Chair Sheffer 4. 2018-19 Public Arts Budget Review Discuss funding the payment of application fees for temporary mural projects. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 5. Temporary Sculpture Project at Grit Development Site Block F Continue discussion and review of the presentation and proposal by artist Michael Birnberg to install a temporary public art installation in the amount of $20,500 at Block F of the Downtown Revitalization Project. RECOMMENDATION: Receive verbal report from Subcommittee, discuss possible options, and direct Staff as appropriate D. LEGISLATIVE: 6. MAKE A RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL REGARDING A REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF AN ART MURAL APPLICATION BY WARREN BRAND FOR AN EXISTING MURAL ON THE COMMERCIAL BUILDING AT 1150 N. INDIAN CANYON DRIVE ON THE EAST WALL OF THE OUTPATIENT CENTER ON VIA MIRALESTE NORTH OF TACHEVAH DRIVE BY ARTIST RYAN CAMPBELL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GUIDELINES SET FORTH BY SECTION 5.81 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE AND SECTIONS 93.20.00 & 93.20.03 OF THE PALM SPRINGS ZONING CODE. RECOMMENDATION: Review Art Mural Application #18-001 and adopt a resolution of the Public Arts Commission making a recommendation to City Council for consideration. E. SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS: 7. Publicity and Outreach: Commissioner Brenner Report on approved contract for social media consultant GL The Very Best Services LLC (Madalina Garza) RECOMMENDATION: Commissioner Brenner will provide an update regarding the details, terms, and approval of this contract. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS/REPORTS/REQUESTS: REPORTS OF DIRECTOR/STAFF: ADJOURNMENT: The Public Arts Commission will adjourn to a Regular Meeting, Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, Large Conference Room, 3200 E.
