Additionally, members of the public may address the Commission on each item listed on the posted Agenda at the time each item is heard. Although the Public Arts Commission values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda. Five (5) minutes assigned for each speaker. APPROVAL OF MINUTES RECOMMENDATION: Approve Public Arts Commission Minutes for the October 12, 2017 Regular Meeting A. PRESENTATIONS: 1. None B. Discussion Regarding Proposed Changes to the Guidelines Set Forth by Palm Springs Municipal Code Chapter 5.81 Sections 93.20.00 & 93.20.03 of the Zoning Code Relating to Art Murals on Private Property RECOMMENDATION: Review Art Murals Ordinance and make a recommendation to City Council for consideration 4. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) Sculpture Project Transgender Day Of Remembrance Vigil, 20 November Event Update RECOMMENDATION: Receive verbal report from Subcommittee Public Arts Commission Regular Meeting Agenda — November 9, 2017 Page 2 5. Project and Event Review 2017-18 Confirm Public Arts project list and calendar for January -May 2018. RECOMMENDATION: Direct Staff as Appropriate 6. Community Art Exhibitions 2017-18 Review Upcoming Exhibitions including: 19th Annual Juried Art Show, Update RECOMMENDATION: Receive Verbal Subcommittee Report 7. Education and Community Outreach Programming Review upcoming 2017-18 Outreach events including: Art for Kids Day: 4 February 2018, partner event with Desert Art Center motion to approve sponsorship of $500.
