This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the Public Arts Commission on items of general interest
within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Public Arts Commission, and agenda items if the member of the public cannot be
present later in the meeting at the time the item is heard by the Commission. Additionally, members of the public may
address the Commission on each item listed on the posted Agenda at the time each item is heard. Although the Public Arts
Commission values your comments, pursuant to the Brown Act, it generally cannot take any action on items not listed on the
posted agenda. Five (5) minutes assigned for each speaker.
A. STUDY SESSION TOPICS:
1. 2017-18 Public Arts Budget Overview
Review Preliminary Funding Allocations
RECOMMENDATION: Receive Report from Chair Sheffer
2. Project and Event Review 2017-18
Discuss and evaluate current and upcoming Public Arts project list and calendar including
Art Education Programs; Annual Juried Art Show; Library Exhibitions; Student Exhibitions
and Palm Springs Art Museum Programs.
RECOMMENDATION: Direct Staff as Appropriate
3. Public Art Collection Inventory and Assessment
Discuss and evaluate collection inventory status and conservation schedule.
RECOMMENDATION: Direct Staff as Appropriate
4. Downtown Park
Discuss possible public art recommendations for the Ad -Hoc Committee regarding the
conceptual design for the Downtown Park Site located in the Downtown Revitalization
Plan and how the Public Arts Commission will participate.

8, 2017, at 2,00 p.m at the Palm Springs Convention Center, Room Primrose C, 277 N. Avenida
Caballeros, Palm Springs, California.
