I'm writing in support of the Palm Springs Public Library and the upcoming decision regarding the final design (voting
to approve) as well as funding the project. Palm Springs has an incredible history with its public library and our
current 50 year old library is in dire need of updating. The Palm Springs Public Library serves our entire community
with very important services. We need to invest in our public library ensuring future generations continue to thrive
for years to come. Please approve the final design and fully fund the library renovation. Thank you.
Thank you,
City of Palm Springs

A free library is a foundation to a democracy. I urge you to Support a renovated Palm Springs Public library. This is
an exciting opportunity to expand educational and cultural benefits for the community. The restoration and
renovation of this classic building can also be a beautiful addition to the architectural history of the City. It can
participate in the activation of the park, adjoining facilities and recreational opportunities. Support for facilities like
this and throughout the city will continue to draw people to Palm Springs. Thank you!
Thank you,
City of Palm Springs

Dear Mayor and City Council Members,
I am writing to this letter is support of the Library
renovation project. The library and the community are
enthusiastically awaiting for Item 10 to be approved to start
the process.
As a member of the Friends of the Palm Springs Library, I am
witness to the services that the library provides to the
community. It is exciting to consider how a renovated library
will add to services, programs and to support of the values
represented by a state of the art library for our city.
Thank you for your support of the library by approving Item 10
to move this project forward in a timely manner.
Kind Regards,
Rosemary Flaherty

Dear Mayor and Council Members
I am writing in support of approval for Item 1O, Approval of Plans, Etc. and Authorization to
Bid the Library Renovation.
Although I am a member of the Board of the Friends of the Library, I am not writing on their
behalf. Rather I’m writing as an avid user of many of the Library services, a volunteer at the
Library and concerned resident of the City.
The upgrade to the physical plant of the Library, and its ability to provide services and
programs to all of our communities depends upon this renovation.
Please approve the above request so the project can move forward in a timely fashion.
Kind regards,
Michael Hirschbein

Re: Support for Agenda Item 1.0. – Library Renovation Project Dear Honorable Palm Springs Mayor and Members of
the City Council As a Palm Springs business owner, resident, member of the Palm Springs Public Library Foundation
and a former Chair of the Palm Springs Public Library Board of Trustees, I am writing to ask that all of you support
and approve the April 23, 2025 City Council Agenda Item 1.0-Library Renovation Project. The citizens of Palm Spring
have spoken and we all support this much needed project and a newly renovated Public Library. Staff and Citizens
have put hours and hard work in to creating the vision and finding a large part of the budget needed to complete
this project. The building is now 50 years old, and it no longer meets the needs of a modern, growing city. A world-
class city deserves a world-class library and the time is now to build it! Thank you for your time and your continued
commitment to investing in our city’s future. I respectfully urge you to vote YES!
Thank you,
City of Palm Springs
