Ramon Road Dear Mr. Coleman: A code compliance inspection was made at the commercial building listed above on Wednesday, August 21, 1996. It appears that all structures were under permit. There are a few items that will need to be addressed that are code violations. 1. Electrical panel and all subs to be labeled, including all circuit breakers. 2. Water heater pressure relief valve is to go to the outside of the building. 3. Some of the gas lines appear to be newer, and if a remodel may be occurring, you will need to provide a gas isometric showing size, length of all lines, including all BTUs of all equipment lines are servicing. 4. Arrange to have a sewer dye test completed. Our records show no actual hook-up to City sewer system. There were two cesspools, one replacing/or being added to the original cesspool, both on the west side of the building. Arrange to have these items addressed prior to submittal of plans for remodel, but no later than 60 days from the date of this letter. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Section 106 - permits required. 1) All electrical panels and sub -panels to be labeled, including all circuit breakers; 2) Water heater pressure relief valve to go to outside of building; 3) Gas lines added without permits Property so maintained is in violation of the City Municipal code and constitutes a public nuisance. Within 15 days from the date of this notice, this condition must be corrected in the following manner: Apply for a permit to bring the above items into compliance. Provide a gas isometic when applying for permit. As the owner of the property at issue or as the individual or entity responsible for the violation, you are individually responsible for correcting the violation. Should the violation not be corrected within the time period specified in this notice, the violation may be abated by the City through further administrative proceedings including but not limited to added inspections and directions to remediate the violation, judicial process or by entry upon the property by City employees or contractors for purposes of effecting those actions necessary to correct the violation. If such further action by the City is necessary, you will be charged a fee equal to the actual costs incurred by the City in obtaining compliance with this notice including but not limited to subsequent inspection costs, staff time, overhead, and legal expenses including attorney's fees. Current fees for city costs are as follows: -general staff & inspection time - $50.00/hr. ('h hr. min.) -city attorney time - $145.00/hr.
