Statement Letter
The Uniform Building Code requires that all re -roofing shall conform to the
applicable provisions of Chapter 15 and Appendix 15 of the Uniform Building Code.
Those provisions as they pertain to re -roofing are intended to address water ponding
caused by sagging roof members. At time of clean -off inspection, you may be asked
to address this situation. Failure to do so may result in the delay of your job. It is
your responsibility to address this problem prior to requesting a clean -off inspection.
See reverse side for ponding criteria deemed sufficient to require corrective action.
It is the roofing contractor of record's responsibility to ensure that the provisions of
this chapter be followed. Failure to comply is a violation of the California state law
and the contractor's state license law.
I understand these requirements as they pertain to me.

hours after a rainfall. If the substrate does not have sufficient slope, then ponding water must be
eliminated by building in slope by the application of polyurethane foam, channeling, and /or by the
proper placement of drains.
3. Weather Conditions: The foam application shall not proceed during periods of inclement weather.
The applicator shall apply foam within the temperature and humidity and wind limitations specified
by Polythane Systems. Wind barriers should be used if wind conditions could affect the quality of
