You can arrange for a blueprint service to check out the plans and copy them for you if you are the Building Owner. They do not have an architects stamp so there is no copyright issues. I can copy the permit for you. There have been no inspections. The owner will need to get a contractor on board to renew the permit and arrange to meet with inspector to go over what must be exposed to be able to inspect the work. All domestic hot water pipes that are buried below grade must be installed in a water proof and non -crushable casing or sleeve.' § 150.00)2C: Water piping and cooling system line insulation. Pipe for cooling system lines must be insulated as specified in § 150.00)2A. Distribution piping for steam and h dronic heating systems or hot waters stems must meet the requirements in TABLE 120.3-A.' § 150.00)3: Insulation Protection. Insulation must be protected from damage, including that due to sunlight, moisture, equipment maintenance, and wind. Insulation Protection. Any pool or spa heating equipment must be installed with at least 36 inches of pipe between the filter and the heater, or dedicated suction and return lines, or built-in or built-up connections to allow for future solar heating. § 110.4(b)2: Covers. Outdoor pools or spas that have a heat pump or gas heater must have a cover. § 110.4(b)3: Directional inlets and time switches for pools. Pools must have directional inlets that adequately mix the pool water, and a time switch that will allow all pumps to be set or programmed to run only during off-peak electric demand periods. § 110.5: Pilot Light. Natural gas pool and spa heaters must not have a continuously burning pilot light. 150.0 § (p)' Pool Systems and Equipment Installation. To qualify as a JA8 high efficacy light source for compliance with § 150,0(k), a residential light source must be certified to the Energy Commission according to Reference Joint Appendix JA8. § 150.0(k)1A: Luminaire Efficacy. All installed luminaires must be high efficacy in accordance with TABLE 150.0-A. Blank Electrical Boxes. The number of electrical boxes that are more than 5 feet above the finished floor and do not contain a luminaire or § 150.0(k)1 B: other device must be no greater than the number of bedrooms. These electrical boxes must be served by a dimmer, vacancy sensor control, or fan speed control. Recessed Downlight Luminaires in Ceilings. Luminaires recessed into ceilings must meet all of the requirements for: insulation contact (IC) § 150.0(k)1C: labeling; air leakage; sealing; maintenance; and socket and light source as described in § 150.0(k)1C. A JA8-2016-E light source rated for elevated temperature must be installed by final inspection in all recessed downli ht luminaires in ceilings. § 150.0(k)1 D: Electronic Ballasts. Ballasts for fluorescent lamps rated 13 watts or greater must be electronic and must have an output frequency no less than 20 kHz. Night Lights. Permanently installed night lights and night lights integral to installed luminaires or exhaust fans must be rated to consume no § 150.0(k)1 E: more than 5 wafts of power per luminaire or exhaust fan as determined in accordance with § 130.0(c). Night lights do not need to be controlled by vacancy sensors. § 150.0(k)1 F: Lighting Integral to Exhaust Fans. Lighting integral to exhaust fans (except when installed by the manufacturer in kitchen exhaust hoods) must meet the applicable requirements of § 150.0(k).* Screw based luminaires. Screw based luminaires must not be recessed downlight luminaires in ceilings and must contain lamps that comply § 150.0(k)1 G: with Reference Joint Appendix JA8. Installed lamps must be marked with "JA8-2016" or "JA8-2016-E" as specified in Reference Joint Appendix JA8.* § 150.0(k)1 H: Enclosed Luminaires. Light sources installed in enclosed luminaires must be JA8 compliant and must be marked with "JA8-2016-E." § 150.0(k)2A: Interior Switches and Controls. All forward phase cut dimmers used with LED light sources must comply with NEMA SSL 7A. § 150.0(k)26: Interior Switches and Controls. Exhaust fans must be switched separately from lighting systems' § 150.0(k)2C: Interior Switches and Controls. Luminaires must be switched with readily accessible controls that permit the luminaires to be manually switched ON and OFF. § 150.0(k)2D: Interior Switches and Controls. Controls and equipment must be installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. § 150.0(k)2E: Interior Switches and Controls. No control must bypass a dimmer or vacancy sensor function if the control is installed to comply with 150.0(k). § 150.0(k)2F: Interior Switches and Controls. Lighting controls must comply with the applicable requirements of § 110.9. Interior Switches and Controls. An energy management control system (EMCS) may be used to comply with dimmer requirements if it: § 150.0(k)2G: functions as a dimmer according to § 110.9; meets the Installation Certificate requirements of § 130.4; meets the EMCS requirements of § 130.5 ; and meets all other requirements in § 150.0(k)2. Fire dampers are installed in rated fire barriers which could be either floor/ceiling assemblies or rated wall assemblies as determined in the U.L. Fire Resistance Directory based on completed, passed and U.L. Classified U.L. Fire testing. Types: • Static Fire Dampers — Designed for use in Static Systems, as their name implies, and are used in duct systems or penetrations of fire rated barriers that have been designed to have zero or near zero airflow when the damper is expected to cycle closed during a fire. When insulation is added to the inside perimeter of a structure, the area outside the insulation becomes exposed to greater temperature extremes. Check for piping which should be protected against freezing. The need for and placement of a vapor retarder in commercial construction depends on many factors. Cathedral ceiling products (R30C and R38C) are intended to be friction -fit between rafters. Cathedral ceiling insulation should be installed to provide a minimum I" ventilation passageway between the roof deck and insulation. (See Figure 1) It is recommended to use a vent baffle to assure proper clearance. Between Metal Studs EcoTouch° Insulation can be friction -fit in place until the interior finish is applied. Insulation should fill the cavity and the wall should eventually be closed on both sides. (See Figure 2) In areas where it will be applied in heights over 8', use wire or metal straps to hold the product in place until the interior finish is applied. When faced insulation is used, the attachment flanges may be taped to the face of the metal stud prior to applying the interior finish. Wire or metal straps should also be used to hold the product in place in applications without a cover material or where the stud depth is larger than the insulation thickness. Furring Strips Ecc,Touch° Insulation can be applied between furring strips, hat channels, or Z shaped furring in areas where a finish surface will be installed. Contact the furring strip manufacturer for appropriate fastening system. Caution: FIBERGLAS'" insulation may cause temporary irritation to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, wear loose -fitting, long-sleeved clothing, gloves and eye protection when handling and applying the material. Wash with soap and cold water after handling. Wash work clothes separately and wipe out washer. 0 EcoTouch® PINK ° LASTM Insulation FIB G Notes I. As manufactured, FIBERGLASIM insulation is resistant to mold growth. However, mold growth can occur on building materials, including insulation, when it becomes contaminated with organic material and when water is present. To avoid mold growth on FIBERGLAS'm insulation, remove any water that has accumulated and correct or repair the source of the water as soon as possible. Insulation that has become wet should be inspected for evidence of residual moisture and contamination, and any insulation that is contaminated should be promptly removed and replaced. 2. According to 2010 clinical trial conducted in Toronto, Canada by Ducker Worldwide on behalf of Owens Corning Insulation Systems, LLC. 3.
