A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING MODIFYING
THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE
PALM SPRINGS POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION AND
THE PALM SPRINGS POLICE MANAGEMENT
ASSOCIATION TO ADJUST THE ANNUAL LEAVE CASH -IN
DAY.
WHEREAS, The City of Palm Springs currently has a Memorandum of
Understanding ("MOU") in effect with the Palm Springs Police Officers' Association
("PSPOA") which expires on June 30, 2025; and.
WHEREAS, The City of Palm Springs currently has a Memorandum of
Understanding ("MOU") in effect with the Palm Springs Police Management Association
("PSPMA") which expires on June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Members of the PSPOA and PSPMA currently cash out unused leave
hours on the first pay day in December; and
WHEREAS, the City and both PSPOA and PSPMA jointly wish to amend the
' agreement by adjusting the leave cash -in day to the second pay day in November
effective November 15, 2024; and
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That effective November 15, 2024, the City of Palm Springs modify
the Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the Palm Springs Police
Officers' Association to adjust the annual leave cash out date to the second pay day in
November.
SECTION 2. That effective November 15, 2024, the City of Palm Springs modify
the Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the Palm Springs Police
Management Association to adjust the annual leave and sick leave cash out date to the
second pay day in November.
SECTION 3. The Director of Human Resources is authorized and directed to
modify the Memorandum of Understanding and fulfill any meet and confer process(es) in
accordance with these changes.

Bernstein
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Holstege
ABSTAIN: None
