The project entails resurfacing of the ten streets listed above under the Project Name. The streets have been resealed many times through the years and now must be replaced. The benefits of this project include: • Improved safety for pedestrians and bikers with new streets, free of large cracks and uneven surfaces. • Improved safety for pedestrians and drivers through restoration of existing speed bumps. • Updated stop lines painted on the streets to promote pedestrian and driver safety. Updated manhole, water valve and sewer line collars. • Improved air quality by eliminating dust created by the current crumbling roads. The improved streets benefit the HOA and the entire city by bringing the streets to current Palm Springs quality standards. The streets are also frequently used by tourists and visitors during special events such as Modernism and Walking tours promoting the significant mid-century architecture of Canyon Estates.
