Planning Commission Members Present: Commissioner Hudson
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Approval of Minutes for meeting of August 9, 2010.
ACTION: M/S/C (Kleindienst / Sahlin, 5-2, absent King, Parker) To approve the minutes of
August 9, 2010 with one correction: Motion for item # 3, Case 3.3331 Halper Residence,
motion was made by Vice -Chair Kleindienst and second by Member Parker.
REVISIONS TO AGENDA: None
PUBLIC COMMENTS: Three (3) minute time limit per person on matters within the
jurisdiction of the Architectural Advisory Committee.
There were no public comments.
AGENDA ITEM #2: Case SP 10-006 Prescott Place Sign Program RESTUDY
Best Signs, Inc. for a sign program for a recently constructed mixed -use project located at
901 North Palm Canyon Drive, Zone C-1, Section 10. (DN)
Associate Planner David Newell presented the revised complex identification sign to the
Committee. Jesse Cross of Best Signs, Inc. provided additional information on the proposed
sign.

Minutes of August 23, 2010
ACTION: M/S/C (O'Donnell / Kleindienst, 5-0-2, absent King & Parker) To recommend
approval to the Planning Commission as submitted.
Principal Planner Robertson stated that the Planning Commission at their work session in
August discussed pending vacancies on the AAC. The Planning Commission directed staff
to set-up a joint meeting between the AAC and the Planning Commission to take place in the
fall
Chair Ortega stated that he along with alternate member Wexler's term expires in October
and they can be re -appointed. He requested that staff contact Mr. Wexler and inform him of
his term of service.
Member Sahlin asked staff for information on a new art installation at the corner of Palm
Canyon Drive and Tahquitz Canyon Way.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further comments, the AAC meeting adjourned at 3:11 p.m.
