Planning Commission Members Present: Calerdine APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Approval of Minutes for meeting of November 26, 2012 as presented. ACTION; M/S/C (Fauber / Secoy-Jensen, 5-0-1, abstain Kleindienst) To approve the minutes of November 26, 2012 as presented. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Approval of Minutes for meeting of December 10, 2012 as presented. ACTION: M/S/C (Fauber / Secoy-Jensen, 6-0) To approve the minutes of December 10, 2012 as presented_ REVISIONS TO AGENDA: PUBLIC COMMENTS: Three (3) minute time limit per person on matterswithin the jurisdiction of the Architectural Advisory Committee. Uli Anfeneu, resident at 2202 N. Vista Drive was present and asked questions regarding Case 3.3620 MAA. He stated his concern of potential water run-off from the proposed new driveway entering his property. AGENDA ITEM #2: Case 3.3620 MAA — Nicholson House William Nicholson, owner, to construct an 884-square foot three -car garage and house repaint on a hillside lot located at 2211 North Vista Drive, Zone R-1-13, Section 3. (GM) Architectural Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes of January 22, 2013 Assistant Planner Mlaker stated that the request is to construct an 884-square foot three -car garage located in the rear yard of an existing hillside property. The new structure will be of simple design consisting of a flat roof, metal garage doors with stucco walls to match existing house. The proposal includes a repaint of the house to "Chalk" color. William Nicholson, owner was present and answered questions. AAC members discussed the location and design of the proposed garage. All supported the proposed color scheme, garage design and location. Chair Kleindienst questioned the location of the proposed driveway as it relates to the zoning ordinance. Principal Planner Robertson stated that Staff will conduct a zoning compliance review of the driveway and if needed will ask the applicant to submit revised plans. ACTION: M/S/C (Fauber be / Seco -Jensen 5-1 opposed, Kleindienst To recommend � Y pp ) approval of house repaint to "Chalk" color; and new 884-square foot garage with the following recommendations: 1. Staff to confirm zoning compliance for the location of the proposed driveway. 2. Provide Staff with a materials list for future walls. CHAIRMAN / COMMITTEE / STAFF COMMENTS: Principal Planner Robertson informed the AAC of upcoming discussions of the Planning. Commission regarding interviews for potential new and returning AAC members.
