Tahquitz Canyon. She made a substitute motion for denial of the project.
Vice Chair Moruzzi said comparing the approved vs. proposed project he does not see that
much difference on northeast corner of Tahquitz Canyon and is not sufficient to deny the
project.
Chair Weremiuk said she would prefer to see parking on both sides of the eastern wing of
the building but because this project is coming to them as an approved project parking
requirements cannot be imposed.
Commissioner Lewin thinks the substantial tree coverage, dog park and retail aspect of the
project provide plenty of screening in comparison to neighboring hotels. He spoke in support
of the motion to approve with added conditions.
Commissioner Ervin thinks the trees on the Tahquitz Canyon frontage will provide adequate
screening and spoke in favor of the project.
