RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
NO 8739
OF THE CITY ;COUNCIL 'OF THE CITY OF PAIM SPRINGS,
I CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN P.ESO-
LUTION OF INTENTION NO. 8722 FOR ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT NO. 85
The City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Division
7 of the Streets and-'Highways -Code of the State of -California,
DOES RESOLVE as follows :
That the public interest and convenience require the work herein-
after mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said City Council
hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be
made in said City, to-wit : installation of a water distribution main
consisting of 12" concrete lined steel pipe with 8" & 6" stubs to
property line, valves & appurtenances (exc. of fire hydrants) in Golf
Club Dr: between E.Palm Canyon & Ave. 34; construction of P.C. concrete
curbs & gutters, asphalt concrete pavement, & an irrigation system for
planting in the curbed center islands in Golf Club Dr. from Hwy III to
Ave 34 & asphalt concrete paving in Golf Club Dr. from Ave 34 to approx.
450-feet northerly of Ave. 34 to a connection with Crossley Rd.
all as particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 8722
I passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on the 8th
day of August 19 66 and on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said ResoluL.1 8$_1 to
of Intention and the plans and drawings Nos. 1107-1 to 1107-3 & 1108-8
on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and to the
specifieations for said work heretofore adopted by said City Council
and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; all of said
plans, drawings and specifications heretofore approved by said City
Council are incorporated herein and made a part hereof,- and reference
is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated
work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the opinion of
said City Council of more than local or ordinary public benefit and
the said City Council has made the expenses of said work chargeable
upon' a district. For the particular description of said district,
reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention.' ,
Said City Council has determined and declared that serial ,bonds
bearing interst at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum and extend-
ing over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January
next succeeding the next September Ist following their date , will be
1 issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement Act of
1911," of California, ro represent each assessment of Fifty Dollars

date of recording the warrant.

All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in
pursuance of an act of the, legislature of the State of California ,
designated the "Improvement Act of 1911", Division 7 of the Streets
IandHighwaysCode.
