HomeMy WebLinkAbout8615W,1P RESOLUTION NO. 8615 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE ADOPTION OF A GENERAL PLAN PURSUANT TO CHAPTER .3, ARTICLE 6 OF THE CALIFORNIA PLANNING AND ZONING LAW CONTAINED IN TITLE 7 OF 'THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE WHEREAS the Planning and Zoning law of the California Govern- ment Code authorizes the City to adopt a General Plan as de- fined therein; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Springs has recommended to the City Council the adoption of a General Plan, as approved by Planning Commission Resolution, No, . 1284; and WHEREAS the City Council has held hearings in accordance with the requirements of Section 65.355 of the: Government Code, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, pursuant to Section 65357 of the Government Code, does hereby adopt a General Plan for the City of Palm Springs which consists o£o 1. A map displayed in the City Council Chambers ; 2. The text, of the report submitted by Simon Eisner and Associates on August 15, 1959; I 3 . The General PlanStreet Plan, as presently reflected on the General Plan map, referred to in. 'Item, 1 above. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the General Plan map shall be en- dorsed, pursuant to this resolution and by Government Code Section 65359, by the signatures of the Chairman of the Plan- ning Commission and the City Manager. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this reso- lution shall be attached to the General Plan text and filed with the City Clerk, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby rescinds City Council Resolution No. 5988 adopted on September 28, 1960 .
