HomeMy WebLinkAbout8602RESOLUTION NO. 8602 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPEAL OF THE PALM SPRINGS WATER COMPANY, FOR RELIEF FROM UNDERGROUND UTILITIES IREQUIREMENTS, AND APPROVING AGREEMENT NO. 410. WHEREAS the City of Palm Springs Ordinance Code Section 8049. 14 requires all utilities to be installed underground; and WHEREAS the Palm Springs Water Company has requested relief from said provision; and WHEREAS the Board of Appeals on January 31, 1966 , did grant the appeal of the Palm Springs Water Company to allow temporary overhead utility installation; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve the action of the Board of Appeals to allow the Palm Springs Water Company permission to install temporary overhead utilities to water well No. 15, Section 35, subject to the following conditions : 1. Requiring all poles to have a minimum size and height . 2. Transformers to be set on pads. 3. Require a Bond in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) to provide for the underground service to be installed within two years (2) , or when the Canyon Country Club installs under- ground service, whichever occurs first .
