HomeMy WebLinkAbout859717 RESOLUTION NO, 8597 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, TO CONSIDER THE AMENDMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN STREET IPLAN FOR SECTION_30,-T4S, RSE, SBB&M. WHEREAS the Planning Commission has recommended an amendment to the General Plan Street Plan, specifically for a portion of Section 30, T4S, RSE, SBB&M. , and WHEREAS the City Council is in agreement with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that due to the existing and proposed land use in said southeast quarter of Section 30, additional street rights-of-way should be required to serve the increase in traffic volume and types of vehicles to be used to service a commercial development. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council amend the General Plan Street .Plan, as follows: 1. To provide a 60-foot north-south collector street between Highway Ill and Matthew Drive approximately 1,316 feet east of Cherokee Way in Section 30, as shown on map on file in Planning Department. 2.
