RESOLUTION NO. 8594
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA APPROVING A LOT SPLIT
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF
SOUTH PALM. CANYON DRIVE, BETWEEN EL PORTAL
AND CAMINO CARMELI'TA, IN SECTION 27.
WHEREAS the Planning Commission has considered a request to divide
a parcel of property located on the west side of South. Palm Canyon
Drive, between E1 Portal and Camino Carmelita, and legally des-
cribed as a portion of Lot 2 of Palm Canyon Mesa Tract. No. 2,
Section 27 , T4S, R4E, SBB&M. , and
WHEREAS the Planning Commission recommends approval for the reason
that the proposed lot split will provide two lots which can be
easily developed, with each having a frontage on a single street,
and
WHEREAS the applicant has dedicated 14 feet of right-of-way for
South Palm Canyon Drive in accordance with the General Plan Street
Plan, and
WHEREAS the City Council is in agreement with the recommendation
of the Planning Commission.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
approve a lot split for that property shown on the attached map,
and described as a portion of Lot 2 of Palm Canyon Mesa Tract No. 2,
Section 27 , T4S , R4E, SBB&M. , subject to the following condition
as recommended by the Planning Commission:
1. That flood control clearance be obtained from the Riverside
County Flood. Control and Water Conservation District prior
to the issuance of a building permit.
