HomeMy WebLinkAbout8562RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO 8562 OF THE CITY 'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESO- LUTION OF INTENTION NO. 8542 FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 75 The City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Division 7 of the Streets and 'Highways Code, of the State of California, DOES RESOLVE as follows : That the public interest and convenience require the work herein- after mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said City, to-wit : construction of eight inch V.C. pipe sanitary sewer .with the necessary manholes and appurtenances, four inch V.G. pipe house laterals to the property line in McManus Drive, between Saturmino Drive and Sunset Way; grading a roadbed, construct- ing P.C. concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and driveway aprons, placing asphalt concrete pavement, and installing street lights in McManus Drive between Saturmino Drive and Sunset Way and portions of Saturmino Drive, Cerritos Drive and Sunset Way adjacent to the property fronting on McManus Drive. all as particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 8542 , passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on the 13th day of December 1965 and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention and the plans and drawings Nos. 1057-1 to 1057-7 on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and to the specifi.cations for said work heretofore adopted by said City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; all of said plans, drawings and specifications heretofore approved by said City Council are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the opinion of said City Council of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said work chargeable upon' a district. For the particular description of said district,' reference ishereby made to said Resolution of Intention.' , Said City Council has determined and declared that serial ,bonds bearing interst at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum and extend- ing over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding the next September lst following their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement Act of 1911," of California, to represent each assessment of Fifty Dollars 50.00) or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant, b Res, Ordering Work 8562 Page 2 All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911," Division l of the Streets and Highways Code. 0- I, Judith Sumich, Deputy City Clerk of the City of Palm Springs, California, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 8562 was duly adopted by the City Council of said City at a meeting thereof held on the 10th day of January , 1966.
