AMENITIES FEEDBACK o Bike racks: standard and e-bikes with charging o More trash receptacles o Windscreens that are semi-transparent and can be rolled o Backpack storage/hooks on fencing o Water stations with bottle fillers, filters and sensors (no buttons) o Shade o Consider fence pole padding o Practice walls o Lighting &Video surveillance:Ensure no dark spots ROTATION FEEDBACK o Court Rotation:Continue work with Ad Hoc to explore: o Rotation system o Skill set court breakout o Options for tournaments o Designate an area for vendors o Look into shade over designated courts o Consider a separate court for instructors/classes Community Outreach Meeting #2: City Council Meeting July 25, 2024, 5:30 pm City of Palm Springs, CA REFINED CONCEPT o 20, 34’X64’ Pickleball Courts + Existing Tennis o Future Phase Parking Concept o Updated Court Lighting Layout o Explored options to save existing trees o Updated court color concept scheme o Additional shade elements o Revisited fence heights (5’ min, 10’ max) o Introduced a Practice Wall Community Outreach Meeting #3: City Council Meeting July 25, 2024, 5:30 pm City of Palm Springs, CA GENERAL UPDATES o Existing Trees:The City has partnered with West Coast Arborists, an ISA Certified Arborist team. They are preparing a report with detail on all trees potentially impacted by this project. o Circulation & Existing Utilities: City met with the water treatment plant to explore the feasibility of relocating the existing manhole at the edge of the courts – determined the process would likely be lengthy and cost prohibitive. o Parking:The distance to the next closest parking area (to the west) is 845’. Bike parking will allow an alternative to driving.
