> Dear Chair Weremiuk and Members of the Planning Commission:
>
> I am a member of the Desert Riders Club and a 3rd generation Palm Springs resident. Regarding the Landscape
Plans for the Prescott Preserve, yes, this is a nature preserve but it is in an unusual setting. It is surrounded by a city,
by homes situated on it, near a riding stable and contains an equestrian trail that is much older than the golf course
that was once there. This trail has been in use consistently since its beginning in perhaps the 1960’s, I don’t have the
exact date. It’s not a beaten path like some trails so the Preserve needn’t worry about that. But it is not a forgotten
trail by any means.
>
> In the approval process for the Prescott Preserve landscape plan, please ensure that the existing Equestrian trail
stay intact as it is. That it is not rerouted, not shortened and has adequate signage for any standard equestrian trail
commonly seen in nature preserves, national parks and any riding/hiking trail throughout California.
>
> Thank you for consideration.
